MegazoneCloud Begins Building Hanmi Pharmaceutical's Quality Assurance AI Agent with 'AIR Studio'

Fine-tunes the Korean model Solar and deploys it on its own AI platform, AIR Studio, to automate quality-document operations

SEOUL, South Korea, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- MegazoneCloud (CEO Doug Yeum), a leading AI and cloud company, is undertaking the development of 'Hanmi Q-Agent,' an AI agent that automates Hanmi Pharmaceutical's quality assurance (QA) operations, based on its enterprise AI OS 'AIR Studio.'

Hanmi Q-Agent is an AI agent that supports the retrieval and analysis of vast quality documents. MegazoneCloud, which is responsible for implementing the AI solution for this project — part of the 'AX One-Stop Voucher Program,' through which the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) provide integrated support for AI, cloud, and data in voucher form — began system development on the 7th.

MegazoneCloud will build the search-based AI agent for some 4,000 quality documents accumulated by Hanmi Pharmaceutical. Applying its in-house enterprise AI OS 'AIR Studio,' the company will implement a RAG (retrieval-augmented generation)-based agent that retrieves and summarizes these documents and compares them against the latest regulations. The goal is to identify and correct items that do not conform to newly added or revised regulations, thereby reducing related work time by more than 40%.

Quality documents are prepared and managed to demonstrate that pharmaceuticals have been manufactured consistently and in accordance with regulations; they contain a mix of tables, figures, and formulas, with Korean and English notation used side by side. Until now, staff have had to search through vast volumes of documents themselves and manually cross-check them against the latest regulatory standards and internal guidelines. In particular, discrepancies with regulations have mostly been corrected only after inspections. Once the system is in place, preventive quality management that reflects the latest regulations in real time is expected to become possible.

As the engine that generates Hanmi Q-Agent's responses, MegazoneCloud fine-tunes Upstage's Korean model 'Solar' to Hanmi Pharmaceutical's GMP domain and deploys it on the AIR Studio-based agent. GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) is an international standard for manufacturing pharmaceuticals at a consistent level of quality and is central to pharmaceutical quality assurance operations.

In the Hanmi Q-Agent project, Hanmi Pharmaceutical serves as the overall lead, while MegazoneCloud handles AI solution implementation and fine-tuning, Samsung SDS provides the AX infrastructure, and Selectstar performs data processing and third-party verification. The four companies held the "2026 AX One-Stop Voucher Program Hanmi Pharmaceutical Consortium Kickoff" on August 28.
