Meijer Pharmacy Partners with "A Million More" Flu Shot Initiative

ALISO VIEJO, Calif., Oct. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, PrescribeWellness announced its partnership with Midwest retailer Meijer for its "A Million More" Flu Shot Initiative to help create healthier communities. The initiative was launched in August and strives to increase the influenza vaccination rate by one million more Americans.

PrescribeWellness developed this campaign to target young, healthy Americans, who don't feel at risk for serious illness. The program empowers individuals to get a flu shot for their family, community and to help protect those at risk.

"A Million More" campaign will run at all 199 Meijer Pharmacy locations in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky. These locations will also be participating in the "A Million More" Million Dollar Sweepstakes.

Patients who check-in at the pharmacy via Facebook will be entered into a random drawing for a chance to win $1 million dollars. The contest began in October and will run through Dec. 31.
