Memorial Hermann Advantage Set to Offer Medicare beneficiaries Health Plans with Enhanced Benefits

HOUSTON, Oct. 1, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Memorial Hermann Health Plan and Memorial Hermann Health Insurance Company announced today that they have contracted with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to offer Memorial Hermann Advantage plans to Medicare beneficiaries throughout Harris, Fort Bend and Montgomery counties.

Medicare beneficiaries can begin enrolling in the Medicare Advantage Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) and Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans when the Annual Election Period (AEP) launches on October 15 – when anyone with Medicare can change their Medicare health plan and prescription drug coverage for 2015. The AEP enrollment period will end December 7.

Memorial Hermann Advantage HMO and Memorial Hermann Advantage PPO are health plans with a Medicare contract.  Enrollment in these plans depends on contract renewal.
