LOS ANGELES and ORANGE Counties, Calif., Aug. 8, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In a rigorous assessment of more than 4,500 adult hospitals, U.S. News & World Report recognized MemorialCare Health System's Long Beach Memorial, Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center in Fountain Valley and Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in Laguna Hills 21 times as "high performing" in several clinical categories. Additionally, Long Beach Memorial has been recognized as a "Best Hospital" by U.S. News & World Report with rankings of "high performing" across 13 areas of care.
The annual Best Hospitals rankings are designed to help patients make informed decisions about where to receive care for life-threatening conditions or for common elective procedures. The U.S. News methodologies include risk-adjusted survival and readmission rates, volume, patient experience, patient safety, quality of nursing care and other care-related indicators.
