Merchants Bancorp. Board of Directors Welcomes Mark New and Kevin Overbey

GRESHAM, Ore., Oct. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Gresham, Oregon-based MBank (www.mbankonline.com) today announced Mark New and Kevin Overbey have been named to the Board of Directors of holding company Merchants Bancorp.

Mark New is the founder of New Real Estate Services, which is now New and Neville Real Estate Services. Mr. New has more than 30 years of experience in the Portland commercial real estate market. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, holds a real estate license in Oregon and Washington State and is a Managing Director of real estate brokerage alliance X Team International. He currently serves on the board of the Multnomah Athletic Foundation, the Lincoln High School Foundation, Friends of the Mounted Patrol, Portland Mall Management and Habitat for Humanity.

Kevin Overbey is a Senior Managing Director and Practice Leader of employee benefits at Alliant Insurance Services. He was a founding and managing partner of ClearPoint, which became one of the largest privately held insurance brokers in the northwest, before it joined Alliant. A native of the Northwest, Mr. Overbey grew up in Portland and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in marketing management communications from Oregon State University. His background also includes holding executive positions for a large regional brokerage firm and an international life insurance company.
