Metropolitan Dermatology Expands into Ocean County with New Barnegat, New Jersey Location

BARNEGAT TOWNSHIP, N.J., Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Metropolitan Dermatology, a leading dermatology practice serving communities throughout New Jersey and Staten Island for more than 20 years, is pleased to announce the opening of its office in Barnegat, New Jersey. The expansion will provide patients of all ages in Ocean County with convenient access to comprehensive medical and surgical dermatologic care. 

The new office is located at 249 S. Main Street, Suite 5, Barnegat, NJ 08005, inside Garden State Medical Center. Early morning and evening appointments will be available.

As part of the expansion, Metropolitan Dermatology welcomes three experienced dermatology providers: Lisa Altman, FNP-BC; Alyssa Dallicardillo, APN-C; and Deborah Pontoriero, APN-C. Their addition will allow their former Ocean County patients to continue receiving care from providers they know and trust while benefiting from Metropolitan Dermatology's full range of clinical resources.

Dr. Alex Doctoroff, founder and Medical Director of Metropolitan Dermatology, will also provide surgical dermatology services at the Barnegat office. His on-site services will expand local access to the surgical treatment of skin cancers and other dermatologic conditions.

Metropolitan Dermatology is also working diligently to bring Mohs micrographic surgery and image-guided superficial radiation therapy (IG-SRT) services to the Barnegat location as soon as possible. These additional treatment options will further expand access to advanced skin cancer care within the local community.
