Miami-Dade County Names Friday, March 22 As "Marcelo Claure Day"

MIAMI, March 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez, on behalf of  the Board of County Commissioners,  named Friday, March 22 as "Marcelo Claure Day," to honor Brightstar Corp. CEO and Chairman for his significant achievements and contributions to the community.

In a proclamation issued by the county, Claure was recognized as an individual whose "diligence, achievements and dedication contribute greatly to the well-being and enhancement of the community."  Claure was also credited for his "great leadership and guidance" in growing Brightstar into a global business that is recognized as one of the nation's fastest growing corporations.
