Miguel's Jr. Unwraps the Holidays with Seasonal Tamales and Gift Cards That Give Back
Three tamale flavors, including the return of fan-favorite Green Chile & Cheese, plus bonus gift card offers worth up to $10 extra, arrive at Miguel's Jr. on Monday, November 2
CORONA, Calif., Nov. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The season of giving just got a lot more flavorful. Beginning Monday, November 2, Miguel's Jr. kicks off the holidays with the return of its homemade tamales and a lineup of gift card offers designed to reward guests who share the love. From a season-long bonus card promotion to an extra-generous Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend, Miguel's Jr. is making it easy to check off every name on the list, including your own.
A Holiday Tradition, Wrapped and Ready
In many Southern California households, the holidays don't officially begin until the tamales arrive. Miguel's Jr. honors that tradition with three flavors available Monday, November 2 through Thursday, December 31, each crafted with 100% stone-ground masa:
- Spicy Chicken: Tender chicken simmered in a zesty green sauce of tomatillos and serrano chiles, delivering just the right kick of heat.
- Chile Rojo Pork: Slow-roasted pork simmered with a bold blend of California and New Mexico dried chiles for a rich, savory depth.
- Green Chile & Cheese: Back by popular demand, a roasted Anaheim chile paired with melted cheese and finished with a tangy tomatillo-serrano sauce.
Guests can grab a single tamale à la carte for $3.99 ($4.49 for Green Chile & Cheese), or bring home a dozen for $43.69. Dozens are available in a single flavor or as a half-and-half mix of six each, a welcome solution for hosts feeding a full table, office parties, and anyone who has ever been asked to "just bring something" to a holiday gathering.
Gift Cards That Keep on Giving
From Monday, November 2 through Thursday, November 26, and again from Tuesday, December 1 through Thursday, December 31, every $25 gift card purchase comes with a bonus:
- In-store: Buy a $25 gift card, get a $5 bonus card.
- Online at MiguelsJr.com: Buy a $25 gift card, get a $10 ebonus card.
It's the rare holiday gift that's equally appreciated by coworkers, teachers, family members, and the person buying it.
Black Friday & Cyber Monday: Double the Bonus
For four days only, Friday, November 27 through Monday, November 30, Miguel's Jr. turns up the value. In-store guests who purchase a $25 gift card receive two $5 bonus cards, while online shoppers at MiguelsJr.com continue to receive a $10 ebonus card with each $25 purchase. Guests who would rather skip the mall crowds entirely can complete their shopping from the couch, ideally with a tamale in hand.
Redeem in the New Year
All bonus cards may be redeemed from Saturday, January 2 through Sunday, February 28, 2027, exclusively at Miguel's Jr. locations. The result: holiday shoppers start the new year with a built-in reason to come back for lunch.
"The holidays are about gathering around the table, and tamales have been at the center of that tradition for generations," said Javier Vasquez, CEO at Miguel's Jr. "This year, we wanted to make it even easier for our guests to celebrate. Whether they're bringing home a dozen tamales for the family or picking up gift cards for everyone on their list, we're giving them a little something extra to enjoy in the new year."
Both the tamale lineup and gift card offers launch Monday, November 2, at all participating Miguel's Jr. locations and online at MiguelsJr.com.
