WASHINGTON, Feb. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Mike Greene, CFP® is the new Chair of the Board of Directors for Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board,) a role that places a recognized leader in the financial planning profession at the helm of the leading organization that now certifies nearly 74,000 CFP® professionals in the United States.

Greene is senior vice president of financial planning and advisor business development at Ameriprise Financial. He has served on the Board of Directors for CFP Board since 2012.

Before joining Ameriprise in 2002, Greene worked at McKinsey & Company, CNH Global N.V. and served as an engineer officer in the U.S. Army. He received his Master of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics and his Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Economics from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
