Mike Heneka to Retire as Faurecia NAO President; Mark Stidham Named Successor

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Feb. 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Faurecia, North America's sixth-largest automotive supplier, announced that Mike Heneka will retire from his position as NAO president effective March 1. Mark Stidham, former president of Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies (FECT), will assume the role of president.

A veteran of the automotive industry for more than 30 years, Heneka's career with Faurecia began in 2006 when he joined the company as President of the Interior Systems division for the region. In 2007, he was promoted to the role of president of North America.

Throughout his almost decade-long career at the company, Heneka's management of Faurecia's four divisions as well as his relationships with customers has greatly contributed to the company's success. Under his leadership, the region has grown from around 9,000 employees to more than 20,000, and has expanded to encompass 47 sites across Canada, Mexico and the U.S. — a number that has more than doubled from 23 sites in 2007. Heneka has seen the company climb from the No. 21 slot (2006) on the Automotive News' list of top suppliers in North America to No. 6 (2014) and oversaw its sales growth to $6.25 billion, an increase of nearly $4 billion since 2007.

Heneka's influence has reached beyond Faurecia to touch many aspects of the automotive industry and the Southeast Michigan community. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Original Equipment Suppliers Association, the National Association of Manufacturers and the Automotive Hall of Fame, and is a member of the Michigan Arthritis Foundation. Heneka also spearheaded Faurecia's community relations initiatives, and in particular the FUELS campaign, which in 2014 provided more than 1.12 million meals to local families.

Heneka will remain with Faurecia as an advisor to Mark Stidham through June of 2015.

Mark Stidham has a career that spans over 30 years and considerable experience in the automotive industry. Stidham joined Faurecia in 2003 as President of Exhaust Systems North America, which later became Emissions Control Technologies. In this role, Stidham was a key leader in the integration of Emcon Technologies, acquired in 2010, which doubled the size of the business and led to the creation of the North American leader for Emissions Control with sales of around 2 billion euros in 2013.

Stidham has also led the partnership with Cummins for the commercial vehicles emissions control business, which is set to grow at around 30 percent per annum in the coming years. Prior to joining Faurecia, Stidham was a business group vice president at Donnelly Corporation. He will build on Faurecia's many achievements in the region and help the company to continue to grow in all of its businesses.
