Milestone and Scholarship America Announce the 2026 Milestone Trial LawHER Scholars

MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Milestone and Scholarship America have announced the recipients of the Milestone Trial LawHER Scholarship, one of the largest private scholarships specifically for female law students in the United States, with a top award of $25,000 and two additional awards of $10,000.

Milestone Trial LawHER Scholars are dedicated to careers in plaintiff trial law, a field where women are outnumbered approximately four to one.

The recipients for 2026 are:

• Siri Cortez, a third-year law student at University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law
• Chloe Nguyen, a second-year law student at Stanford Law School
• Katherine Ovoian, a third-year law student at Boston College Law School

"We created the Trial LawHER Scholarship to invest in talented women who want to build careers advocating for people when they need it most," said John Bair, Founder of Milestone. "Siri, Chloe, and Katherine represent the kind of thoughtful, client-focused advocates we want to see shaping the future of the plaintiff bar. We're proud to support them as they take the next steps in their legal careers."

The Milestone Trial LawHER Scholarship will open for the next round of applications in the spring of 2027.

"We look forward to our continuing partnership with Milestone," said Mike Nylund, President and CEO of Scholarship America. "As the price of law school continues to rise, scholarships like this one ensure that cost is not an insurmountable barrier for students of incredible potential."
