Mindray Medical to Exhibit at Arab Health 2011 in Dubai from January 24-27

SHENZHEN, China, Jan. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- Mindray Medical International Limited (NYSE: MR), a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of medical devices worldwide, today announced its participation in the Arab Health 2011, to be held from January 24-27, 2011 in Dubai, U.A.E.

Arab Health is the most important annual medical exhibition in the Middle East.  In 2010, the event had over 2700 exhibitors and around 66,000 visitors from more than 79 countries. This year, Mindray will exhibit more than 50 devices from its three core product segments: patient monitoring and life support products, in-vitro diagnostic products and medical imaging systems. Five important products on exhibit are described below:

Patient monitoring and life support products:

• the WATO-EX 35 Anesthesia Machine
• the BeneHeart D3 Defibrillator

In-Vitro diagnostic products:

First launched in the US in the fourth quarter of 2010, the V series platform is a modular patient monitoring system, focusing on the philosophy of "easy-to-use" while incorporating traditionally highly complex monitoring parameters. The system is intended for intra hospital use under the direct supervision of a licensed healthcare practitioner. The system architecture allows users to customize, by removal or addition of modules, monitored parameters based on a patient's monitoring need or acuity level.

First introduced in China, the WATO EX-35 anesthesia machine is suitable for general anesthesia in a wide range of patients from infants to adults. With its stable function, advanced safety design, reliable performance and user-friendly interface, the WATO gives clinical users basic monitoring measurements on a color LCD screen, with graphs of pressure and flow at the same time. In addition to basic ventilation modes, WATO also offers advanced modes applicable for patients' spontaneous breathing. The powerful data review supports 24-hour tracking for alarm events. Besides the integrated monitoring parameters, WATO also provides external monitoring covering EtCO2 and AG.

BeneHeart D3 defibrillator was first launched in the international markets.  This defibrillator is for hospital usage and Mindray is currently the only Chinese manufacturer to have the capability to produce such product.  BeneHeart D3 is a compact, light weight defibrillator integrating manual defibrillation, monitoring, pacing and AED functions. Quick charging and shock delivery at customized energy levels ensures effective resuscitation. This vital signs monitoring function of ECG, SPO2 and respiration can improve diagnosis efficiency, and quickly indicates the effective defibrillation.

First launched in China in the second quarter of 2010, the BS-800 Modular System combines innovation and high performance into an integrated solution. With an expandable platform, a more complete line of chemistry reagents, as well as calibrators and controls, the new solution package can be tailor-made to customer needs. Innovative features such as coaxial reagent disk, reagent bubble detection, dot light source and water quality monitor, are built in to ensure accuracy, convenience and cost-efficiency.

Mindray will also showcase a demonstration unit of BC-6800, the new generation 5-part hematology system to be launched this year. The BC-6800 is a high level auto hematology analyzer with high processing speed. In addition to the routine CBC plus 5-Part Diff WBC test, the BC-6800's output can be extended in the form of Reticulocyte, Nucleated RBC, Optical Platelet count, etc, allowing wider clinical application and research.
