Increased Focus on Test and Interoperability Will Speed Specification Deployment
PISCATAWAY, N.J., Dec. 3, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- MIPI Alliance today announced the formation of a new Test Working Group (TWG) as well as a broader testing policy designed to support its members' efforts to implement MIPI specifications. The Test Working Group will provide a forum to discuss specification quality and conformance issues, provide guidance and resources to other MIPI Working Groups, advise the MIPI Board on all test-related issues, address conformance questions, and encourage interoperability activities. This increased focus on the "testability" of MIPI specifications will speed deployment and improve manufacturability. In addition to forming a new working group, the MIPI Board of Directors ratified an enhanced specification testing policy which strongly encourages members to participate in conformance and interoperability test activities. The new policy includes the development of Conformance Test Suites and support for member companies or test service providers to organize interoperability test activities.
