Mirixa Corporation Releases MirixaEdge(SM) for General Availability

RESTON, Va., March 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Mirixa Corporation, the leader in targeted pharmacy-based patient care services, is pleased to announce the general availability of MirixaEdge, a web-based clinical application that enables pharmacists to design patient care programs for any patient, regardless of health plan, employer, or age.

Introduced in October at the annual conference for the National Community Pharmacists Association, MirixaEdge uses the MirixaPro(SM) web-based platform to deliver medication therapy management (MTM) programs for patients. Pharmacists can also use MirixaEdge's condition-specific templates to track patient services for patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, asthma and cardiovascular heart disease.  Typically, MTM services are provided exclusively for Medicare patients with multiple chronic conditions and who are expected to spend $3,000 per year on up to eight or more medications. With MirixaEdge, pharmacists are able to deliver MTM services to a broader range of patients in addition to those eligible under Medicare guidelines.

The application is now generally available and all pharmacies that contracted for MirixaEdge as part of the pre-release introduction are now able to expand their reach and engage patients with any condition to be more engaged and more informed about their medications and their health status.
