Missouri Assessment Program End-of-Course Assessments Contract Awarded to Incumbent Vendor Questar Assessment Inc.

MINNEAPOLIS, July 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (MDESE) has awarded Questar Assessment, a K–12 assessment solutions provider focused on building a bridge between learning and accountability, to continue to be the primary contractor for its Missouri Assessment Program End-of-Course Assessments (MAP EOC).

Key Components of the MDESE/Questar Assessment Partnership

• Program Continuity
  From program management to scoring, Questar will staff the MAP EOC program with the responsive, flexible and dedicated professionals who have worked on the program in the past and are personally invested in its continued success.

  Questar's team of assessment design and psychometrics experts will utilize a comprehensive range of services — test design, item selection, and test construction; field testing; and more — to  build new test forms for the MAP EOC program according to approved test specifications.

  Questar's program management team will continue to build on its successes with the MAP EOC program to create, refine, and execute it with precision and professionalism, while implementing greater efficiencies, improving communication, identifying additional opportunities for process improvements, and more.
• Assessment Delivery on a Next-Generation Online Platform
  Questar, having partnered with MDESE in previous years to deliver more than 1.5 million MAP EOC assessments online, covering nine different content areas, will continue to offer MDESE a best-in-class online testing system that will include such enhancements as the addition of an audio accommodation and a new secure browser for desktop testing.
