MJ Freeway CEO Amy Poinsett Joins Colorado's Retail Marijuana Sales Rulemaking Advisory Panel

DENVER, July 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The state of Colorado State Licensing Authority (SLA) has invited MJ Freeway CEO and co-founder Amy Poinsett to join an advisory panel to assist in rulemaking and implementation of state retail marijuana laws.

Amendment 64 and HB13-1317 mark the beginning of the state's initiative to create and regulate a legal market for recreational marijuana. To prepare for this, the SLA have assembled the advisory group to assist in rulemaking discussion to ensure a well-planned and effective regulatory framework. Amy explains that her "experience in working with hundreds of medical cannabis businesses in Colorado provides valuable insight … especially around tracking and what technology is both available and/or possible, and will help inform the rulemaking process." Amy brings to the group extensive knowledge and experience with state regulation and administration both within Colorado and in other states with a medical marijuana market.
