M&M'S® Unveils 'X-Men: Apocalypse' Commercial
New Ad Timed with Release of Limited Edition X-Men-Themed Merchandise Bottles
HACKETTSTOWN, N.J., May 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Mars Chocolate North America unveiled a new commercial for M&M'S Chocolate Candies featuring your favorite M&M'S characters together with favorite X-Men characters. The commercial release is timed with the highly anticipated 20th Century Fox's motion picture event "X-Men: Apocalypse," which premieres May 27.

A storm's a brewin' at the X-Mansion, and the M&M'S are at the heart of it. That's the plot of the new commercial "Rainy Day" which airs today on TV and web. Red and Yellow find themselves at the mercy of two X-Men who have a shared weakness: delicious candy-coated chocolate. Proving that even the most powerful superheroes on the planet can't resist M. Additionally, a full-page print ad features the common struggle felt between both the M&M'S and X-Men characters, which will continue to generate excitement for the upcoming movie release.
Also, this week, M&M'S is introducing X-Men-themed merchandise bottles featuring eight X-Men M&M'S character images. The new bottles will be available in early May at Walmart, Kroger, CVS and movie cinemas across the United States.
