The latest update is welcome news, especially as the State Water Resources Control Board announced last week that it was suspending access to water for 114 so-called senior rights holders, all in hardest-hit Northern California. The impact on residential communities is already being felt. The community of Mountain House, near Tracy, CA, is supplied by the Byron-Bethany Irrigation District, one of the water rights holders being cut off, and the town is now only days away from running out of water.
Steve Hartmeier, CEO of mOasis, stated, "Here in California, we're reminded daily that water is our most precious resource, and the latest news really hits home. It's a zero-sum game, so every drop of water we can help growers save in their operations helps every California resident."
mOasis' flagship product, BountiGel is a gamechanger and will be featured at the Forbes Reinventing America AgTech Summit (http://www.forbesconferences.com/event/2015-forbes-reinventing-america-the-agtech-summit/) on July 8-9 in Salinas, CA. The summit combines innovators from Silicon Valley and global agriculture, with a goal of tackling the world's most critical challenges. At the event, the company will showcase the positive impact of mOasis' Aquamer® technology, used by BountiGel, on a wide range of crops throughout California, Arizona, and Mexico.
mOasis also noted that BountiGel is now being adopted outside of traditional agriculture, with its first golf course applications now being deployed.
