These publications validate the relevance and impact of the SLIM (Structures for Lossless Ion Mobility) technology to advance separation science, as evidenced by the evolution from invention to commercial product and the wide-ranging practical applications demonstrating unprecedented analytical characterization.

The seminal publication on the SLIM platform technology was published by physical chemist Richard D. Smith, Ph.D., at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in 2014. Since then, multiple academic and industrial researchers have published results demonstrating the ability of the SLIM technology and MOBILion's product to significantly enhance traditional methods of molecular separation.
