LONDON and LOS ANGELES, June 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Finance controls and automation software leader BlackLine is hosting its fifth annual EMEA User Conference next week in London, home of the company's EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) headquarters, to serve the company's rapidly growing base of clients in the region.
Accountancy and finance team members from Western Union and Aker Solutions will present case studies on how each has used BlackLine's cloud-based financial automation platform to increase efficiencies and improve productivity and visibility, ultimately accelerating their financial close. A panel of clients from Unisys, Kempinski Hotels and Misys will address the need for finance transformation, due to intensifying global competitive pressures, a rapidly changing regulatory landscape, the growing complexity of financial processes, and heightened demands for clear visibility into balance sheet data. The panel will discuss best practices for elevating finance organisations to true 'Modern Finance' status.
In addition, John E. Van Decker, VP of Research, from global IT industry research firm Gartner, will deliver a keynote on the current financial systems landscape. Stefan Karl, Chief Solution Expert, Financial Solutions, SAP, will provide a presentation on enabling finance transformation with SAP Simple Finance – and how BlackLine enhances SAP's solutions, complementing the inherent functionality in SAP ERP Financials and SAP Simple Finance. Plus, forensic accountant Tim Tribe, CPA/CFF, will give a keynote entitled "Employee Theft – The Fraudsters Adapted, Did Your Controls?"
Representatives from other BlackLine client companies from around the world are registered to attend, joining BlackLine's team of experts in London. As part of the company's ongoing commitment to strengthen its global operations to provide clients everywhere with superior service, BlackLine has designed the two-day event for attendees to share their ideas on how Finance and Accounting can get the most value out of the BlackLine platform.
Through a dual-track program, both new and experienced users who attend the London sessions will be given an opportunity to:
- Learn best practices from BlackLine's team of experts and other clients
- Hear how experienced users from other regional companies creatively use BlackLine
- Preview upcoming software enhancements
- Directly influence the product direction going forward
The BlackLine EMEA User Conference 2015 will be held Thursday to Friday, 25-26 June, at Bishopsgate London. For more information, contact Howard Goldstein at [email protected].
