Mohr Partners Expands Brokerage Presence in Washington Metro Area

Industry veterans Andrew Genova and Justin Barker bolster Mohr Partners' presence in the capital region

DALLAS, Sept. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Mohr Partners, Inc., a leading global occupier-focused corporate real estate advisory firm, has added Andrew Genova as Co-Market Leader and Managing Partner and Justin Barker as Director for the Washington metropolitan area, known as the DMV for the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.

They will work closely with Peter Berg, Mohr Partners' longtime DMV market leader, who will share leadership responsibilities with Genova.

Genova and Barker's arrival positions Mohr Partners to expand its occupier advisory work in a market shaped by federal contracting and defense spending, as well as data center and infrastructure demand driven by the growth of artificial intelligence across Northern Virginia.

Genova and Barker come from Foundry Commercial's DC Metro office, which Genova led as Managing Director and where Barker served as Vice President. Working together, they advised corporate and nonprofit occupiers on decisions ranging from single-site selections to portfolio strategy, with an emphasis on aligning real estate obligations with clients' operating and financial priorities.

Genova brings more than 17 years of industry experience, primarily in tenant representation and occupier services. Before Foundry, he served as a Principal at Avison Young.

His advisory, leasing, investment sales, consulting and portfolio management work spans more than 3 million square feet and more than $2 billion in value, and he has built a practice representing nonprofit and institutional tenants, including healthcare systems and government contractors.

He earned his master's degree in commercial real estate finance and development from Georgetown University and his bachelor's degree from Birmingham-Southern College. He is a licensed real estate broker in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.

Barker comes to Mohr Partners with nearly 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and business development. In addition to his time at Foundry, he served as a Senior Advisor at Cresa, and he began his career in association management and conference production before moving into commercial real estate. His client work spans nonprofits, government agencies and large corporate occupiers.

A fourth-generation Washingtonian, he earned a bachelor's degree in business management with a minor in social justice from Wheeling Jesuit University, now Wheeling University. He is a licensed real estate salesperson in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.
