Mosaic Capital Receives SBIC License

CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Based in Charlotte, NC, Mosaic Capital Partners, LLC ("Mosaic") proudly announces that the U.S. Small Business Administration ("SBA") has granted Mosaic Capital Investors I LP a license to operate as a Small Business Investment Company ("SBIC").

The SBA's Debenture Program allows SBIC funds the opportunity to borrow up to two times the amount of the fund's private capital from the SBA at low, long-term interest rates and deploy the combined capital in their chosen investment strategy. The partners at Mosaic will employ traditional private equity buyout strategies along with their expertise in ESOPs to help business owners design appropriate exit strategies and liquidity plans. Mosaic's merchant banking affiliate, Butcher Joseph Hayes, will augment the private investment firm with additional proprietary deal flow.
