Mountain States Health Alliance achieves dramatic improvements in glycemic control with the comprehensive insulin-dosing software platform from Glytec

GREENVILLE, S.C., May 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Glytec, a clinical information technology company dedicated to glycemic management solutions for hospitals and patients, today announced that Mountain States Health Alliance (MSHA) has experienced unprecedented clinical results in just the first 60 days of use of the inpatient glycemic control platform, Glucommander™.

Utilizing Glytec's FDA-cleared intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous (SubQ) insulin dosing modules, MSHA has achieved dramatic and measurable clinical results:

• Hypoglycemia was reduced by 89%
• Patients with blood glucose values in target range increased by 56%
• Average blood glucose values were reduced by 27%
