HOT SPRINGS, Ark., Oct. 3, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Mountain Valley Spring Water is proud to be the 2017 Presenting Sponsor of the 26th annual Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival. This year's festival will run October 6-15 at the Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa. Mountain Valley Spring Water has been a long-time HSDFF supporter on many levels.

As part of their sponsorship, Mountain Valley Spring Water is hosting a student filmmaker contest called Back to the Source Films. Students are asked to create an original 'Back to the Source' 1.5 to 2-minute film that captures their creative interpretation of "Back to the Source." All filmmakers who enter submissions will receive a student pass to the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival. All films have the chance of running on all Mountain Valley Social Media outlets and website; filmmakers will be alerted if theirs is chosen. The winner will be announced live at the opening ceremony of the HSDFF on 10.6.17 and will receive a $5000 grant for their next film.
Werner Herzog, the acclaimed screenwriter, film director, author, and actor, is coming to Arkansas to take part in the 26th annual Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival. The festival received 1,179 documentary submissions and HSDFF leaders are putting the final touches on the 2017 slate. Additional prominent attendees and films will be announced in the coming weeks.
