MRA Group (MRA) Moves to Historic Horsham Site

HORSHAM, Pa., March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- MRA Group (MRA), specialists in the development and management of healthcare, academic and owner-occupied real estate throughout the mid-Atlantic region, announced that it has relocated its corporate offices to Horsham, Pennsylvania.

MRA recently completed renovation of the historic Homestead Inn at 3 Village Road, and has occupied the upper level of the three-story, 16,000 square foot building.  The original part of the structure dates to 1737, and was expanded through the mid-nineteenth century.  Originally the main home for the Walsh Farm, it evolved into the centerpiece Homestead Inn and Avalon Grill Restaurant in the mid 1980's, along with the development of the one million square foot Horsham Business Center.  The restaurant closed its doors in 2001, and sat abandoned and deteriorating for years.  MRA purchased the vacant building in 2009.

"We recognized the potential within the walls of this great fieldstone structure," said Lawrence J. Stuardi, president of MRA Group. "We refinished the entire building inside and out, while maintaining its unique historical features."

MRA modernized the building's electrical system, installed energy-efficient HVAC and lighting systems, and added a state-of-the-art IT infrastructure.  Plans are being developed for a 24,000 square foot expansion of the facility.

Other tenants in the building include Highland Urological Group (formerly Suburban Urological Group), associated with Doylestown and Abington Hospitals, which occupied the first floor of the building in early March 2010.  Another medical tenant is set to occupy in early summer 2010, leaving 1,500 square feet available.
