MTN Selects Intracom Telecom's Point-to-Multipoint System for Its Network Advancement in the Sub-Saharan Region

Intracom Telecom, a global telecommunications systems vendor, announced today the signing of a Frame Agreement with MTN, a world-class telecommunication services provider operating in 22 countries across Africa, Middle East and Asia, to supply its innovative Point-to-Multipoint wireless system, WiBAS.

Intracom Telecom's WiBAS system will enable MTN operators to decrease their annual spending on fees for operating frequencies, reduce the expenses for site rental and enhance their network coverage, and offer high-quality, reliable broadband services to its corporate subscribers across MTN's countries of operation.

Facts:

• MTN will be benefiting from Intracom Telecom's technologically-advanced and cost-effective solution, WiBAS that reduces significantly the deployment time and design complexity in upgrading its broadband networks.
• The framework agreement covers all 22 countries served by MTN operators across Africa & Middle East while at this initial phase Intracom Telecom will deploy its WiBAS system to MTN and its subsidiaries in South Africa, Nigeria, Cameroon and Benin.
• The first systems under this Frame Agreement will be deployed in MTN's network in South Africa within 2013.
• MTN will be gaining from Intracom Telecom's extensive international successful deployments that include renowned telecom operators such as: Internet Solutions in RSA, Etisalat in the United Arab Emirates and other countries, T-Mobile in Central Europe and the Balkans, as well as Rolaware in Greece.
