"My Fairy Godfathers" Foundation Raises $259,000 at Annual Fundraiser, Celebrating the Power of Beauty and Giving

CLEARWATER, Fla., Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Last Saturday, a theme of "Timeless Temptation" drew 300+ attendees to the annual black-tie charity event hosted by My Fairy Godfathers Foundation. Taking place at the Shanna and Bryan Glazer JCC in Tampa, Fla, this premier gala provided guests with rooms draped in red and black, music from a harpist/cellist, silent auction with more than 50 unique items, a signature cocktail and sampling from the Nonna Dolly Vineyard in Northern Italy. The mission to empower women through beauty was truly felt by all with more than a quarter of a million dollars raised in support of this philanthropic cause. 

One highlight of the evening was a video sent in by actress Nicole Eggert, cast member from the wildly popular TV show, Baywatch. As a breast cancer warrior and wig recipient of the foundation, she shared, "I met Andrew & Steven at a point in my treatment where I was just trying to show up in life. They reminded me that even in the toughest of times, we should still feel beautiful. They gave me that feeling of confidence back and what they do for so many females in need is magical."

During the three-course meal, guests experienced an exciting live auction complete with luxury getaways in locations such as Finland, Sweden and Spain in addition to a visit to Napa Valley. The finale was an unforgettable six-night Italian Escape that included wine tastings, excursions, cooking classes, spa treatments, visits to a castle and much more, all hosted by the Nonna Dolly Family.

An emotional speech was given by foundation recipient Falana Shannon, who spent many childhood years in the foster care system and battling health issues. Her experience with My Fairy Godfathers offered her belief in herself for the first time ever and the opportunity to look toward her future feeling empowered and beautiful, both inside and out.

While founders, Andrew Ashton and Steven Anderson continue seeing clients at La Posh Salon in Clearwater, Fla., their true passion is giving back to deserving females. What began with one Prom makeover nearly two decades ago, blossomed into the creation of a 501©3 in 2011 and now includes programs such as personalized wig donations, scholarships, beauty bags for first responders to teens alike and once-in-a-lifetime Prom beauty experiences. Their generosity has been seen throughout Florida and now across the U.S. with more than 12,000 females ranging in age and background.
