TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- myMatrixx, a Tampa-based pharmacy and ancillary medical benefit management company, announced that Artemis Emslie, President of myMatrixx, has been recognized by Business Insurance magazine as an honoree on their 2015 "Women to Watch" list.
The annual list spotlights 25 women who are doing outstanding work in commercial insurance, reinsurance, risk management, employee benefits and related fields. Now in its 10th year, the "Women to Watch" awards have helped to raise the issue of gender diversity in a largely male-dominated industry. Honorees were nominated by readers of Business Insurance and were chosen by a panel of senior editors of the magazine. Selection criteria included recent professional achievements, influence on the marketplace, and contributions to the advancement of women in business.
"Artemis has brought her own style of leadership to myMatrixx while maintaining the strong core values and corporate culture of innovation that have been with the company since it was founded in 2001," stated Steven MacDonald, myMatrixx CEO.
Under Emslie's leadership, myMatrixx has experienced significant revenue growth, increased profitability, and an expanded corporate footprint. Emslie also recently founded a nonprofit organization that provides a forum for other women executives in the industry to share ideas, knowledge and experience while mentoring the next generation of female leaders.
The 25 "Women to Watch" honorees are profiled in the December 7 edition of Business Insurance and were recognized at an awards ceremony in New York City on December 15.
