("Nanoramic"), an industry leader in advanced materials and energy storage technology, today announced the launch of its standard catalog of Neocarbonix^® Slurry Precursor (NXSP™) products. This product line provides battery makers with a scalable, easy-to-implement solution to reduce cost per kWh and improve lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery performance across multiple applications.

NXSP is a drop-in replacement for conventional Li-ion binders and additives in both cathodes and anodes, designed for immediate implementation into existing wet-coating manufacturing lines. By replacing conventional binders and additives with a composite binder, NXSP removes critical constraints on performance, cost, and sustainability without requiring manufacturers to alter their production equipment.

NXSP enables fundamental mechanical and electrochemical performance benefits to cathodes, anodes, and cells across every major application, including electric vehicles (EVs), stationary storage, consumer electronics, drones, and power tools.

NXSP is chemistry-agnostic and seamlessly integrates with various Li-ion cathode chemistries including NCM, NCA, NCMA, LMR, and LFP, and with next-generation technologies such as sodium-ion and solid-state batteries. Across the board, cathodes with NXSP demonstrate higher active material content, higher mass loading, lower resistance, excellent mechanical flexibility, and superior adhesion – driving greater energy density and power density at once, along with meaningful cell cost savings from thicker electrodes and lower processing costs.

NXSP extends the same benefits to silicon anode formulations, overcoming the mechanical degradation and cycle-life instability that silicon volume expansion causes in conventional binder systems. NXSP provides the mechanical flexibility and adhesion needed to sustain performance through repeated charge cycles while improving electrical conductivity, helping manufacturers adopt silicon anodes and move past the energy density limits of conventional graphite anodes.

NXSP is available using raw material inputs sourced to support customers' own compliance planning under the United States National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and evolving Foreign Entity of Concern (FEOC) restrictions on battery materials.
