National Burger Battle Champion Crowned Tonight

ORLANDO, Fla., June 19, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Across the country teams of firefighters, police officers, military personnel, and other volunteers are preparing to do battle.  However, the opponents are not fires, criminals, or other nations, but teams of six individuals fighting for their charities and the chance to be crowned National Burger Battle Champion.  It's all part of the 3^rd Annual Burger Battle organized and sponsored by Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill.

This year, Burger Battles are taking place in 32 U.S. markets.  The battle is a timed relay eating contest, with the team consuming the specialty burgers the fastest taking the top honors.  Two teams of six will compete for a chance to be crowned Burger Battle Champion of the city, plus receive cash winnings for their charity.  The team with the fastest time in each market will compete to become National Burger Battle Champion, and receive an additional $5,000 for their charity.
