RICHMOND, Va., July 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- National consulting and talent solutions firm, Vaco, announced the acquisition of Richmond-based Momentum Resources, a boutique staffing firm specializing in flexible career opportunities. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Momentum's founding partners, Whitney Forstner and Tanya Cummings, will remain with Vaco Richmond in a consulting role.
"Momentum Resources is a firm we've long admired and enjoyed working with," said Vaco Richmond Managing Partner, Amy Miller. "We aim to carry on the spirit of their founding vision of connecting intelligent working mothers with flexible career opportunities, while also expanding the breadth of part-time and flexible work solutions we currently provide to the Richmond market."
Vaco CEO Jerry Bostelman stated, "the purposes of Vaco and Momentum are so aligned – the definition of Vaco is "free yourself" and that is exactly what Momentum does for its accomplished professionals." Mr. Bostelman continued, "By working with their players to develop a schedule that best fits their life, their consultants can do rewarding, important professional work for their clients AND enjoy the rewards of a job well done in all the other vital roles they play. We echo and applaud that full life philosophy."
Vaco's acquisition in Richmond is reflective of the growing workplace trend towards enhanced flexibility, due in large part to the increasing number of Millennials entering the workforce and the rise in working mothers.
