Nautica Footwear to Launch in Footaction Stores Nationwide

NEW YORK, April 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Nautica® unveils an assortment of refined casual lifestyle-inspired footwear for men, boys and girls in Footaction stores nationwide.  Already an established leader in the lifestyle category in apparel, this new line of classic American footwear hits Footaction stores with several styles that embody the spirit of the Nautica brand.

The footwear collection has a range of boat shoes, deck sneakers, and vulcanized styles for men, boys and girls, that complement the Nautica apparel category and offer the consumer many different wear occasions.  The range includes seven styles for men, two styles for boys and one for girls.  This new collection is available now in select Footaction stores in advance of the nationwide rollout in May. The retail price ranges from $45.00 - $80.00 for Men's (Size 7 - 13), $35.00-$45.00 for Boys' (Size 13 - 4) and $29.00 for Girls' (Size 13 - 4). Additionally, a collection of Nautica Sportswear knits and t-shirts will also be available in select Footaction stores.

The Nautica Footwear Spring/Summer collection presents a line with an American coastal feel. Offerings include leather, canvas and PU styles in boat shoes, deck shoes and canvas slip ons. For leisure, the Men's Canvas Deck Shoe has a relaxed feel, and is available in a classic lace up cotton canvas oxford style, in navy and white, complete with an embroidered Nautica J Class and leather trim. The Men's Mock Toe Canvas Deck Shoe is available in khaki, navy and red and the Men's Mock Toe Canvas Oxford Lace Up is available in khaki, black and white. Perfect for any outdoor or indoor activity, the Men's Full Grain Leather Boat Shoe, available in brown and navy, has an ortholite insole for maximum comfort and breathability. The collection for men is a mix of casuals and vulcanized styles that serve as a versatile shoe offering perfect for many wear occasions. Unique design details such as contrast stitching, flexible rubber outsoles featuring nautical inspired rope tread pattern, and an embroidered Nautica logo are key to the design elements as well as the Nautica brand's iconic colors of blue and white that recur in the shoes throughout the collection.

To build awareness for the collection during the time of the launch, Footaction will host a promotion in NY/NJ area stores for a week starting April 28. By trying on a pair of Nautica shoes in store, Footaction shoppers will be able to enter on their mobile device for a chance to win a pair of tickets to see Usher live at the Nautica Concert Series at Prudential Center on May 7. The promotion will run from April 28 to May 4 with three winners being selected on May 5, 2011. In addition, customers who make a purchase of Nautica Footwear in a NY/NJ Footaction store, or on Footaction.com, will receive a Nautica "Ship Happens" t-shirt, while supplies last.
