Navy Mutual Partners with Military Makeover for Tenth Year

ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Navy Mutual Aid Association ("Navy Mutual") is proud to announce their tenth year of partnership with Military Makeover with Montel. This season follows the renovations of the Weatherholt family home.

William "Billy" Weatherholt enlisted in the Air Force at age 17, soon after the events of September 11, 2001, in the hopes of serving as a Firefighter and EMT. During his service, he deployed twice, first to Kyrgyzstan in 2006 and later to Qatar in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2009. He volunteered as a member of the Honor Guard, which allowed him to honor fallen servicemembers by participating in dignified transfers and funeral services. After returning home and leaving the military, Billy found himself navigating PTSD, insomnia, and anxiety, amongst other service-connected conditions. Despite these setbacks, he still serves his local community as a Firefighter Paramedic and has been named Firefighter of the Year not once, but twice. Billy lives in Florida with his wife, Autumn, an educator whom he's been with for nearly two decades, and their 14-year-old daughter, Tatumn.

Navy Mutual's Military Affairs Liaison, Commander Dave Babcock, USN (Ret.), traveled to Jupiter, Florida, to personally thank Billy, Autumn, and Tatumn for their sacrifices.
