Neebo Hires Seasoned Retail Industry Leader as New Area Vice President

LINCOLN, Neb., Aug. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Neebo, the retail division of the Nebraska Book Company, today announced that it has hired Gwen M. Clancy, a former district team leader for Target Corp., as an Area Vice President to oversee the company's Southwest College Stores. Beginning Monday, August 22, Clancy will assume leadership responsibility for half of the company's U.S. retail store locations, totaling nearly 150 college textbook stores. She will be based in Castle Rock, CO.

To fill the area vice president role, the company conducted a comprehensive search focusing on executives with proven team leadership skills, strong financial results, operational expertise and customer relationship management insight. Clancy quickly emerged as the right fit for the company and the position.

Clancy joins Neebo after 17 years with the Target Corporation, a Fortune 500 company. Her positions there included Group Operations Leader, District Team Leader in Kansas City, and most recently District Team Leader in Denver, Colorado. She graduated with a bachelor of arts in finance/management from Mankato State University in Minnesota.
