With its headquarters in Guymon Oklahoma, Panhandle has served its customers since the early 1950's with the most advanced communication services available. Today, they offer voice, data and video service and have been the key provider of fixed and mobile wireless data services to their communities since 1998. By joining the alliance, they now plan an aggressive move to 4G LTE and will continue their heritage of leadership and high value solution delivery to their customers.
"Panhandle has always been known for their leadership and innovation," said Roger Hutton Chairman and CEO of NetAmerica Alliance LLC. "Their commitment to the alliance and to offering 4G LTE service is another example of the power of what we are doing and the growth we continue to see."
"NetAmerica was formed and put into operation at precisely the right time for rural America," said Ron Strecker, CEO of Panhandle Telephone Cooperative. "The promise 4G LTE holds for our rural customers and the positive economic and lifestyle changes that broadband mobility will bring to our communities is exciting. Panhandle Telephone recognized immediately that joining the alliance was the key for us to control our destiny, maintain our independence, and leverage our investment in 700MHz spectrum while continuing to serve our customers."
NetAmerica has joined forces with rural independent license holders, that are deploying converged 4G wireless/wireline networks, to provide business and network services including combined buying power, nationwide branding, 24/7 network monitoring, 4G core network elements, applications development and other key services needed to build the converged network of the future.
4G/LTE is recognized by many as the next step in the future of telecommunications. Large carriers are now starting to bring 4G enabled services based on LTE technology to metropolitan markets. Independent carriers have a long heritage of offering leading edge services to their communities and the NetAmerica Alliance enables them to continue that legacy of innovation and independence.
