New CoreNet Global Board of Directors to Focus on 'Global Opportunity, Critical Change'

ATLANTA, April 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Lee Utke, MCR, Director of Global Corporate Real Estate for Whirlpool Corporation, is the new Chairman of CoreNet Global's Board of Directors -- the 6,500-member international association of corporate real estate (CRE) and workplace executives announces today. Utke will take office when the new Board year starts on 21 April 2010, at the close of the CoreNet Global Summit, New Orleans.

Utke succeeds Barry Varcoe as Chairman. Utke will serve with Board members from a broad spectrum of the corporate real estate industry, including corporate end users, service providers, and an economic developer. It's a globally diverse group from global locations including the U.S., the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Singapore and Hong Kong.

"With the introduction of the new CEO Angela Cain and the appointment of a new Board in April, CoreNet Global will be poised to face an important time of critical change and global opportunity relative to its strategic value to the members and the industry," Utke noted. Cain will assume the CEO role April 12 from Interim CEO Ron Zappile.

Matthew J. Fanoe, Corporate Director of Real Estate & Facilities, Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. was elected as the Chair-Elect for the new Board year. He will succeed Utke as Chairman in 2011.  

Dino S. Piccini, BCCR, President, Global Corporate Services, DTZ, who was appointed Treasurer, and Varcoe as Immediate Past Chairman, round out the officers' positions on the Board of Directors.

Newly-elected Directors are:

All newly appointed members to the Board of Directors will serve a term of three years concluding in the spring of 2013.
