New Culturally Relevant Medical Centers To Open In Connecticut

Beginning in late November, ConnectiCare members will have access to three new CliniSanitas Medical Centers in Connecticut. The new medical centers will be located in Newington, Bridgeport and Orange and will offer primary care, specialty care, urgent care, walk-in care, laboratory and diagnostic imaging services, as well as health education and wellness services. All will offer extended evening and weekend hours and the staff will speak both English and Spanish. ConnectiCare is the only health insurance plan being accepted by the CliniSanitas Medical Centers, which will also serve those paying directly for health care services. 

As Connecticut's population grows and diversifies, it is essential that the delivery of health care address the cultural differences present so all citizens get the care they need. To improve access to quality care, the CliniSanitas patient experience will be 100 percent bilingual, starting with the medical team and support staff, educational materials, the patient portal and disease and wellness outreach programs. To foster a strong and long-lasting doctor-patient relationship, the appointment intervals are scheduled so doctors can spend more time with their patients.
