New Education Week Report to Provide a State-by-State Look at Teacher Morale

BETHESDA, Md., Feb. 27, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Education Week will release its latest report on the state of the teaching profession March 4 at SXSW EDU Conference in Austin, Texas. EdWeek's journalists and researchers will present highlights from the report, which will feature national and state-level findings about teacher morale and job satisfaction from in-depth surveys of teachers.

Now in its second year, The State of Teaching project aims to portray the reality of today's teaching profession, correct misconceptions, and help guide smarter policies and practices for the field of over 3 million educators working in K-12 schools.

The report will include this year's score on our exclusive Teacher Morale Index, a multidimensional measure of teachers' enthusiasm and confidence about their work; interactive charts showing the Teacher Morale Index scores for each state; and vivid reporting from schools across the country.
