RTI International Metals, Inc. Research Reports
On August 5, 2014, RTI International Metals, Inc. (RTI) announced Q2 2014 results with a total of $205.3 million revenues, compared with $199.1 million in the year-ago period. Operating income was $17.5 million, versus $20.5 million in Q2 2013. RTI stated that last year's operating income included $8.3 million of higher duty drawback cost recoveries. Net income attributable to continuing operations for the period increased to $7.1 million or $0.23 per diluted share, from $1.1 million or $0.03 per diluted share in the corresponding quarter last year. RTI reported that Q2 2013 results included a $13.7 million pre-tax charge to interest expense related to the early extinguishment of a portion of a long-term convertible debt. Total titanium mill product shipments for the quarter were 3.9 million pounds, compared to 4.1 million pounds in Q2 2013, and Boeing 787 seat track deliveries were 36 equivalent ship sets, compared to 18 delivered in the same period last year.
