On June 18, 2014, Walgreen Company (Walgreens) announced that its over 250 pharmacies and 35 Healthcare Clinic at select locations across Ohio now offers MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccinations daily without any appointment, in response to the executive order given by Gov. Kasich that enables pharmacists to administer the vaccinations. According to the Company, the vaccinations are widely covered by most insurance plans. Nick Barsan, Market Pharmacy Director, Walgreens, Ohio, said, "Our pharmacists and Healthcare Clinic nurse practitioners are highly trained vaccination experts, and Walgreens responded quickly to the need for more vaccination resources as measles cases have started to spread to different parts of the state. On June 17, 2014, McKesson Corporation (McKesson) announced its plans to submit a proxy by-law amendment to seek shareholder approval at the Company's 2015 annual meeting.
