New Torrenzano Report: Millennials Now Key Influencers in B2B Decision-Making
"Sellers Who Avoid Social Media Might as Well Try Marketing with a String and an Old Soup Can"
NEW YORK, Nov. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Millennials are now key influencers of the C-Suite, positioning that generation for significant impact for B2B decisions, states a report released today by The Torrenzano Group.
"Although Millennials are not C-Suiters quite yet, they help guide their C-Suite leadership and B2B purchasing decisions, with eighty-one percent of these non-C-Suite Millennials relishing an important role in purchase decisions," said Richard Torrenzano, chief executive, The Torrenzano Group.
"Sellers who are not using the latest digital and social media platforms and tools to reach them might as well try marketing with a string and an old soup can," he said.
Millennials are the largest generation in the workforce at 53.5 million strong, outnumbering both Gen-Xers and Baby Boomers. This shift has significant implications for the B2B marketplace.
"Millennials base decisions largely by what they learn on digital or social media. Reaching them requires a different skill set than to previous B2B decision influencers," Mr. Torrenzano concluded.
A Major Shift in B2B Marketing: Millennials' New Influence and Impact, confirms data with an in-depth analysis on why Millennials matter, how brands can learn about their behavior, and what B2B brands must now do to optimize marketing strategies.
