DALLAS, Aug. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T* U-verse® is giving TV fans the freedom to watch their TV virtually anywhere in their homes with a free U-verse Wireless Receiver, included as part of new U-verse TV bundles with U300 and above. The free Wireless Receiver offer is available for new customers.
New AT&T U-verse customers can also benefit from more savings and a new price promise to receive the same great price for two years with new 24 month AT&T U-verse bundle offers. New U-verse customers that add qualifying U-verse TV, U-verse High Speed Internet and U-verse Voice packages can receive up to a $36 monthly discount for 24 months, a total of $864 in savings. Existing AT&T wireless customers that add the qualifying U-verse TV bundles get an additional $5 monthly discount, giving them a total of $984 in savings over 24 months, the largest monthly bundle discount available from AT&T. These new bundles require a one-year term commitment.
The new offers deliver more value to U-verse TV customers, who already receive one U-verse receiver with Total Home DVR capabilities included in most TV packages. AT&T U-verse is the only TV provider to offer two receivers in popular TV packages at no extra cost, with the innovative Wireless Receiver as an option for the second receiver.
"We already know customers love our bundle options—nearly 75 percent of our existing customers have triple- or quad-play," said Joey Schultz, vice president of consumer marketing, AT&T Home Solutions. "The new offers deliver significant monthly savings and the same price for up to two years, with some of our best discounts available for existing AT&T wireless customers. We're also including a free U-verse Wireless Receiver, which offers customers the freedom and flexibility to move their TV around their home. It's a few more reasons why customers should choose U-verse TV."
As viewers spend more time in their backyards this summer, the exclusive U-verse Wireless Receiver allows you to have a TV in areas not typically wired for TV, like an outdoor covered patio, since the TV is not tied to the TV outlet. Many AT&T U-verse customers already enjoy the freedom the Wireless Receiver provides. In fact, nearly one-third of installations in 2012 included a Wireless Receiver, resulting in a faster set-up process for customers and U-verse technicians. You may view a demo of the U-verse Wireless Receiver here.
AT&T U-verse TV is one of the fastest growing TV services in the country and the only 100 percent Internet Protocol-based television (IPTV) service offered by a national service provider. U-verse is built on the mission of bringing customers an innovative and better experience than cable, and the industry's first fully-integrated Wireless Receiver is the latest example in a long line of enhancements. And now, AT&T U-verse TV ranks "Highest in Residential Television Service Satisfaction in the North Central, South and West Regions," according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2011 Residential Television Service Provider Satisfaction StudySM.
