VIENNA, Va., March 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Business & Decision UK, international Consultant and Systems Integrator (CSI), has today announced the appointment of Randy Ridley as Vice President of Sales and Operations for its Mi-Case business unit in North America. Mi-Case is a powerful web-based case management solution that enables clients (offenders) to be tracked through their cycle of interventions by all relevant organizations. Designed for public safety and law enforcement organizations, Mi-Case significantly improves case management efficiency and ease of use.
Following the international launch of the solution last year, the new appointment will serve to lead and strengthen the business expansion of the UK based software solution in North America, building on the success of the Mi-Case deployment at the Maryland Department of Public Safety & Correctional Services (DPSCS).
Randy will be responsible for the day to day running of the US business. He brings 20+ years of software sector experience in areas including criminal justice, defence and federal procurement.
Following his appointment on 1st March, Randy says, "Forrester Research supports Business & Decision's view that case management is a growing market. I am delighted to play an instrumental part in that growth, and contribute to the continuing success and growth of the Mi-Case business."
Commenting on the appointment of Randy, Chief Executive Officer for Business & Decision UK, Ian Huckle, adds; "Mi-Case was one of the fastest growing areas for Business & Decision last year and the new appointment demonstrates our commitment to the US market. This is at a time where many governments, health and justice systems around the world face serious challenges relating to drug and alcohol abuse, allied to other social and economic issues including crime, unemployment and housing. Randy, who has extensive experience of the public sector at the county, state and federal level brings considerable business expertise to the role. A seasoned leader with a proven track record of building software businesses in the United States, I am confident that Randy will help us to lead Mi-Case to its next phase of growth in the US and deliver value to our state and government customers."
During his professional career, Randy has enjoyed a number of executive roles with start-ups and major software companies such as MetaCarta, Siemens Government Services (SGS), and Narus.
The Mi-Case solution is used to underpin a multi-institutional approach to correctional services, public safety, drug and alcohol abuse, local government, policing, probation, healthcare and the court system, and is renowned for its scalability and capacity to implement and support best practice within each particular client organization. Saving time and resources while improving service levels and visibility, Mi-Case removes the need for organisations to maintain multiple and disparate information silos, internally and with partners. Instead, it enables a seamless flow of information to authorised users and partners throughout an individual's case lifecycle or treatment. High levels of configuration means organisations benefit from a solution that not only delivers proven core capabilities but also enables features to be easily adapted to meet specific national, governmental and local needs.
