Newk's Eatery Named To QSR Magazine's Top Franchise Deals

JACKSON, Miss., July 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- QSR Magazine has named Newk's Eatery, the fast casual restaurant known for its culinary-driven menu and open kitchens, a top pick for franchisees looking for concepts that deliver a "mutually beneficial relationship."

Fast-growing Newk's, with more than 80 locations throughout the South and Southeast, was one of 12 concepts recognized by the respected restaurant trade publication. QSR called Newk's a "rising star," with a strong sales-to-investment ratio and average unit volumes of $2.4 million.

The magazine also noted that Newk's scratch-made kitchen and culinary-driven menu fit franchisees' desire for products that are "rich and differentiated," while its unit economics deliver "bottom-line earning potential."

Newk's will continue to open corporate-owned locations and plans to exceed 200 units by 2018, with approximately 80 percent franchised.
