HANOVER, Germany, March 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced general availability of the 9.0 version of the SAP® Business One application, version for SAP HANA®. As the first business management solution for small and midsize enterprises (SMEs) running on the in-memory computing platform SAP HANA, the application helps businesses supercharge application performance and analyze growing volumes of data in real time. Available on premise or in the cloud and hosted by partners, it is designed with flexibility and choice in mind to help SMEs innovate and achieve scalable growth. The announcement was made at CeBIT 2014, being held March 10–14 in Hanover, Germany.

The new version of SAP Business One for SAP HANA offers features that are only possible with the use of in-memory technology, enabling analysis of structured and unstructured information within seconds instead of days. With deep insights from the predictive analytics capabilities of SAP HANA, SMEs are able to optimize business planning, operations and decision-making while simultaneously gaining insight into new consumer trends and behavior. Customers around the world and across all industries are leveraging the new version to create centralized systems to manage all data, control both internal and external processes and gain improved insight into complex business processes.

For Probar, a small business that is part of a broader network of Portuguese agri-food companies, the version of SAP Business One for SAP HANA helps streamline cost control and food security. And deploying a mobile version of the application for its sales force has helped Probar improve operations from pre-sale to logistics, enhancing speed and accuracy in each transaction. 

At CeBIT, SAP will preview some of the functional enhancements and new capabilities planned for future versions of the solution.
