Newsbyte: SAP Expands Global Relationship With Portugal Telecom to Make the SAP HANA® Cloud Platform Available to Developers and Customers

BARCELONA, Spain, Feb. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced the expansion of a global relationship with Portugal Telecom to make solutions built on the SAP HANA® Cloud platform available on SmartCloudPT. SmartCloudPT solutions require no initial investment and are offered via a "pay-as-you-go" model, which allows customers to scale out as and when needed. Building on the success of two existing SmartCloudPT offerings available in support of SAP HANA, SAP and Portugal Telecom are now collaborating and plan to make available a developer edition of the SAP® Business One application, version for the SAP HANA® platform. The announcement was made at Mobile World Congress, being held February 25 – 28 in Barcelona, Spain.

Portugal Telecom plans to offer all SAP partners access to the developer edition of SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA, to begin development and porting of add-ons and other application extensions for SAP Business One. Today, the application is used by over 30,000 customers worldwide.

• Developer edition of SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA, is planned to provide developers with a fully configured environment for SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA, to help accelerate development of extensions and add-ons.
