Newsweek Europe Partners with the Hay Festival to Celebrate the Power of Great Thinking and Powerful Writing

Newsweek Europe, the premier weekly news magazine and website, is proud to announce its involvement as media partner at the Hay Festival, the U.K.'s largest literary festival.

Set in the staggering beauty of the Brecon Beacons national park, on the Welsh Borders, the festival has been bringing together writers, artists, and thinkers for almost 30 years - to debate and share stories, and to leverage the power of ideas and collective action.
With 500 events over 10 jam-packed days, Hay continues to attract the world's most prominent writers, comedians, politicians and musicians. Some 85,000 visitors are expected to flock to this picturesque setting.
Newsweek's involvement will culminate in an event at 7 pm this Saturday, 4 June, in the Tata tent, entitled, 'Is This The Most Unusual American Presidential Election in History?'
Serena Kutchinsky, Newsweek Europe's Digital Editor, will be joined by a panel of experts, including Larry Sanders, the academic and Green Party Health Spokesperson, who is the older brother of the US Senator and Democratic presidential candidate; Sarah Churchwell, Professor of the Public Understanding of the Humanities and Professorial Fellow in American Literature, IES School of Advanced Study, University of London; Niall Ferguson, Harvard Professor and author of Kissinger and Jan Halper Hayes, the Worldwide Vice President and Chairman U.K. of Republicans Overseas.
