NI Demonstrates Cyber-Physical Systems at the SmartAmerica Challenge

AUSTIN, Texas, June 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- NI (Nasdaq: NATI), the provider of solutions that enable engineers and scientists to solve the world's greatest engineering challenges, today demonstrated two cyber-physical applications at the SmartAmerica Challenge in Washington, D.C. NI collaborated with major companies and universities, including BluHaptics, Boeing, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and the University of Washington, to create a smart emergency response system and an interconnected energy system.

The SmartAmerica Challenge brings together thought leaders to demonstrate the potential of cyber-physical systems to improve safety, sustainability and overall quality of life. Over 100 organizations come together to showcase the results that they hope to achieve and demonstrate how cyber-physical systems can create jobs, new business opportunities and socio-economic benefits.
