NIRI San Diego Presents: How Your Stock Trades: What Every IRO and CFO Needs to Know
SAN DIEGO, Calif., Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- After an overwhelmingly positive response to its September 2009 program, "Seeing In The Dark: Shining A Light On The New Liquidity," the San Diego chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI San Diego) has invited Liquidnet back on Wednesday, March 31, 2010, for an expanded discussion on this important topic, this time catered to IROs and CFOs. Liquidnet, a prominent facilitator of electronic institutional trading, will give further details about the changing structure of our capital markets, and the growing trend of moving institutional trading away from the central exchanges and the public view on the open market.
Representatives from Liquidnet will help participants: |
-Understand how stocks trade in this era of rapid change and the implications for company valuation |
-Learn how follow-on offerings and buy-backs really work today |
-Understand important trends, such as electronic trading, dark pools, high frequency trading, flash orders and alternative research |
-Learn about the migration from an "investor market" to a "trading market" and what this means to a company's investor outreach |
In addition to the presentation, Liquidnet will offer attendees a customized data report on their company's stock following the program. The event is open to NIRI members, guests, and professionals from related fields.
A networking reception will begin at 5:00 p.m., followed by the presentation from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Bridgepoint Education, 13500 Evening Creek Drive North, San Diego, CA 92128. The cost is $45 for members and $60 for non-members; please register by email at [email protected] by Monday, March 29, 2010. Pricing for late or on-site registration is $55 for members and $70 for non-members.
