NIRI San Diego Presents: 'Stand Up and Be Heard! Merchandising and Disseminating the Investment Story'
SAN DIEGO, Feb. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The San Diego chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI San Diego) will welcome Mark Loehr, CEO of OpenExchange Communications and Catherine Crofton, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Q4 Web Systems in Toronto, Canada on Thursday, February 17th at 5:30 p.m. at San Diego's Websense, Inc. in a program entitled, "Stand Up and Be Heard! Merchandising and Disseminating the Investment Story."
Mr. Loehr and Ms. Crofton will discuss in depth some of the latest tools and strategies that investor relations officers (IROs) can employ to effectively convey critical messaging to company stakeholders. While IROs are highly skilled in generating compelling content about the companies they represent, they sometimes find it challenging to determine if the content is genuinely reaching and connecting to the target audiences – and in the manner they intended. In addition to IROs, this discussion will be instructive for CEOs, CFOs, corporate communication professionals, as well as public relations officers, on how to improve and consistently deliver targeted corporate messaging focused on a variety of audiences from Boards of Directors, investors and the media to internal stakeholders. This discussion is part of NIRI San Diego's ongoing series addressing investor content, message development and delivery amidst the rigors of today's increasingly complex and volatile communications landscape. Karen Fisher, Immediate Past President and Director of NIRI San Diego, will serve as the session's moderator.
